Sorry guys but I know of no mods for it. 
You might try doing a GOOGLE SEARCH for them if there are any out there.
Good Luck and if you find any MODS remember to post them here for the other copper forum members.

I have come across two of them and thought I woould try and use one to tinker with. One is almost like new and the other is about colse to the same way. I would like to know of any place that micht sho or someone that might know of some mods. ASny help please e-mail and everyone have a GREAT CHRISTMAS. |

By law they can not be modifiable for c-phones and from what i've seen of them they are not. They also may or may not track the new trunking format that is going into effect in 2006 - 2007 which will obsolete all bearcat/uniden/ radio shack non flashable scanners ( like the pro XXXX ones) so if you find motorola trunking doesnt work right when the change is done that's why.
It IS a very nice radio for 90 bucks! |

That is not true. Trunking scanners that are already in circulation will still be able to trunk. |

Motorola trunking will be the only one effected by this.. Apparently there is a "roadmap" built into the firmware of the scanners out there, but the companies who made said scanners will not be updating the firmware except for the newest scanners.. EDACS and LTR trunking will be uneffected. |

In general there are very few modifications for Uniden scanners because they are heavy on firmware and light on hardware. That's also the reason they suffer from intermod and desense more than other scanners. |

See, now if GRE and Uniden were to team up, they could come out with the perfect scanner... The sensitivity/selectivity of a GRE scanner with the interface/user friendliness of a Uniden!
I personally won't buy a GRE made scanner again, too many keystrokes to do what I can do in just 1 or 2 on a Uniden. |

Uniden makes some great radios, but a long time ago they decided to not make great scanners. They lack filtering on the front end so they suffer from intermod and desense, and I find them less user friendly than my GRE scanners.
I started scanning with a RS PRO-34 - a dual conversion scanner with 200 channels that has better resistance to intermod than the BC-2500XLT triple conversion scanner that I made the mistake of buying almost 10 years ago. Even though they PRO-34 is only 1/8 as fast as the BC-2500XLT, I catch more action because I have less interruption from intermod. An expensive lesson learned. |

I read the article. This change wont affect my 800MHz scanning at all. I seriously doubt it will be as bad as people think it will be. |

If you have motorola it will. I work for the Sheriff office here and lissen to out system with 2 Radio shack scanners a pro-2052 and 2053.
If this goes as they say it will make it hard for either of them to track the county system.
Now our jail is not a problem ( 460.150 ) and both will still work just fine. Radioshack KNOWS of the problem and is dumping all there PRO scanners right now ..... Our local one gave me the smart answer " If you have a PRO-20XX you'll just have to buy a new one " .... nice to know they back what they sell. |

I may have to cash in on the deals they have going right now.. Our county is 100% EDACS... the only Motorola around here is FHP and KSC, but both are digital so I cant listen as is... Since I only listen to the sheriff and local PDs, I'm safe. |

My BC350C will go up to 956Mhz and it has right on it Trunk hope you find the one you want. |
