The Diamond Eagle is worth as much as ones wallet will afford, I have seen them on an Internet auction site at over $200.00 (new in the box).

That;s about right. Not more than any other special issue series. And I don't think there is any actual difference in the microphone "guts".

An Astatic Eagle is an Astatic Eagle, makes no difference what color it is, they are all the same on the inside. In time the Silver Eagle in like new condition will make it's way to a value of over $200.00 and if you have added the Astatic 10-DA head as I have it will be worth even more. Then they call it the Silver Sidebander.

I still haven't touched my Final Edition - it's untouched in the box. It's on a shelf next to my classic SSB CB rigs.

They look so cool, I just wish I liked how they sound.....

I've only seen them in pictures. But does anyone know what Astatic called the microphone with the Eagle stand and the 10-DA head with the black shell and the chrome front, or was this one sold with a black eagle stand? I think the rarest eagle is the one with the gray hammer tone base and like the rest of the eagles has the double key, in all the years that the eagles have been around, I've only seen one with the gray base.

Lon would probably know - he's got lots of Astatic microphones.
