whoo hoo...cant wait for it to get here. Anyone know how long it might take to get to South Carolina. Also, it stinks that they will only ship it to my billing adress, since i am hardly ever there, but oh well.

You were lucky. 257 just went "out of stock".

Hope you have fun with your 257. I do with mine. only realy problem with the 257 I had is the sucky speaker. plan on getting an external speaker...

Kennjen,

It is hard for Copper and Sam at Magnum to keep them in stock since they are selling so fast.

And Copper Electronics is at the mercy of Magnum International as if Magnum does not have them then Copper cannot get them.

The way the Magnum Radio's are selling at Copper Electronics with the Low prices Sam at Magnum International needs to DOUBLE his production on all Models of them.

Just my 2 cents,

Lon

Bruce:

Well, it's not a "PROBLEM" per ce. It's an issue tho. The stock speaker sounds muffled and the volume isn't that loud. I have to turn up the knob to about 80% at high way cruise to hear conversations loud enough. (And no, my truck ain't diesel) Some times, I often have to turn the knob all the way to hear low volume cb signals that is still coming in clear.

I've heard similar comments from at least one other on this. But now that you are saying that you don't have an issue, I wonder if the problem is JUST in my 257 ?

You may want to try using an external speaker on your HTX just for kicks, bruce. Let me know if the sound is better or not, if you do.

my 2 cents.

Ken.
