i like this cb base and i would like to know if the D104 works good on my 696f cb base. I don't know a lot of cb, but i hope somebody can help me. If somebody own the696f cb base i would like your opinion and your experience. thanks

It's not about the interaction between the microphone and the radio, it's about the interaction between your voice and the microphone.

If you've used one before and liked how you sounded on it, you should have similar results with it on this radio too.

I've used a roadking 56 on my 696F and people said that I sounded better on the stock microphone.

well over the years ive found the grey turner plus 3 .and the turner supersidekick to sound the best on all ranger/rci radios.and on uniden,cobra,it seems d-104 sounds best.so if
ya own/can get one id try a turner desk mike

Try all the mics (desk or handheld) you have or can get and use the one that sounds best to you. Things like mobile or base, shack noise conditions, etc. make a difference. The same rig with the same mic may sound good in My shack but terrible in Your shack. Just use what you like best. Like Hollowpoint said, everyones' voice is different.

I use an old TURNER +3 desk mic on mine -- sounds great

Try one of the new Astatic base mics. AST878DM. They rock and only 60 bucks on coppers website. Cant beat it with a stick!!
