I believe that this is the stock microphone used on the dual-final export radio, the "General Lee". It's supposed to be the best "Stock mike" on the market. Has anyone on the forum ever compared the sound quality of this mike, to the hand-held astatic amplified mikes, namely the D-104 MB ? Has anyone here ever used this mike? Did you like the tonal qualities of it? Are their any more name brand stock mikes that will rival the sound of this SRA-158 microphone? Full of questions, just need answers. Wolverine. |

Thanks for that opinion 1861. I'm told that they sound better than my handheld d-104 mb. I placed an order for one yesterday, because I had to test it out for myself. If the SRA-158 pans out like I think it will, then I will equip all of my 4- pin mobile radios with one, and save money on batteries, to boot. Wolverine. |

I've recommended it more than once on this forum. For a stock replacement its hard to beat. Can't honestly say It will sound better than the D104 but is crystal clear and is well built. Plenty of weight which I like (even if it is only a lead slug ) and the long soft beldon type cord is a plus not to mention the REAL metal mic button and guard on the back. Great stock replacement..yup yup. |

I have a SRA 158 and a SRA 198. Had them about a month, both are new, I have tried them on my magnums, stryker, galaxy, and cobra. Can't get them to work at all. Does anyone have any ideas? They are squealing, distorted, very little audio and real scratchy. Help... |

Correction to my previous post, both mics are SRA 158. I got in touch With Charlie at Ranger and I am sending them to them to be checked out. |
