i am using a palomar 250. i am driving it with a general lee mobile. the radio dk's 1.5w and swings about 40-45. is this ok for this amp?

sure...just dont run it for very long in one sitting.
and dont get to long winded, you should be ok, although that is overdriving it a little bit, it may not sound that great

The dead key is good, but the swing it too high. I wouldn't put more than 20 watts pep into it. The papers that came with my palomar 450 say no more than 25 watts swing. I run mine at 3 watts DK and 30 watts pep. I think half of that would be enough to drive a 250.
