What is the best microphone for the Magnum S-9? I have used the stock mic and a D104. Who has some thoughts?

the dm452 just 'cracked' on makes me sound too deep, but my 13 year old son sounded much older. an older shure 526t desk mic SCREAMS, & remains crystal clear, & even removes some of the 'scratch' with the topgun 'on'-to those who don't know/appreciate the sound of the compressor. a turner +2 has roughly the same affect, & 'SCREAMS' as well. an amplified D104 also got good reports, but the movement of the air molecules was most pronounced with this mic. an astatic road devil also got great reports.

Thank you! I'm just wanting a quality mic that is better that the stock mic. This radio cooks without a power mic anyway. I don't like the "head in a bucket" sound a power mic gives to this radio. I'm leaning towards a 636.

Thanks,

I'm using a d104 mobile mic. I like it. Copper has the chrome version for members on special for 29 bucks.

What luck,I just installed a 104-c on my s9 last weekend I had more reports that the stock mic sounded better than the d104, The stock mic seemed to have a lower tone while the 104 had a louder but, sounded like it had too much "treble".
I had a time in trying to figure the wiring out for the d104, I finally wired it shield and blue on the #1 pin, after that We were talking.

Don't forget, Copper is coming out with the new desktop compressor mic next month and it is supposed to be new technology.
