I would like a cool, nice, functional shack clock. Something that does 12/24 hours. Maybe world times, date and day of the week. I just can't find something that looks and works like I want. Something that screams radio operator, know what I mean? So does anyone have any ideas?

Sodapop.

Do a GOOGLE Search for: "MFJ CLOCKS"

I have a MFJ-108B 12/24 Hour Dual LCD Clock that shows Both LOCAL and UTC Time.

It is a NEAT Little Station clock and MFJ also has many other Station clocks.

I like round clocks. I have a simple round 24 hour clock set to UTC.

If I could find a large LED or LCD clock I'd consider that too, but the digits have to be large and it needs to be 6 digits. I hate digital clocks without seconds display.

I lucked out on a station clock some years ago. A buddy of mine had a Precision Standard Time, Inc. clock called "Time Source". I loved that clock. Eventually, after I bugged about him about for years, he agreed to sell it to me. $75! It displays 24 hours, minutes and seconds, AM or PM in another window, month and year, and the band that is running best. It also does the audio signal, but I have that turned down. If the signals are weak, the "Sync" light flashes until conditions improve, then it will correct itself back into sync. BIG display with 2 1/2" red letters (time). It is a great addition to my shack and a boon for net operations. Never will be for sale, but I sure like this clock! LOL!

Well Lon, I saw fit to go to Walmart this afternoon to get me one of those clocks.
Really like it, although I will say one thing it was a bear to get all the setting in proper order. Now that I have it working properly I like it and it's well worth the asking price. I live in a metal home with a metal roof and it has no problem receiving the radio signal update to keep the time correct.

Yankee,

GOOD DEAL!

So many people do not have a Sams Club Membership or have a Sams Club located near them but Walmart stores are located almost everywhere.

My clock is not the same as the posted picture, the name on it is Atomix, with the setting controls on the back of the clock. The functions are much the same as the posted picture. The best bang for your buck, short of ordering a dual clock to have both local and GMT on the same time piece.

Great! I wanted a clock with an analog dial. When I saw it I was tickeld pink.

I want one of the digital display ones now because they display temperature and date too, even moon phases on some.

I need to get a three time zone clock - one for local, one for Zulu Time (GMT for those who weren't sure) and one for Australia's Time so I stop ringing my parents at 3am.

For some reason they dont seem to appreciate the phone call.

If you have Windows XP, it already has a built-in time sync. You can choose to have it sync with Microsoft or with nist.gov, the National Institute of Standards and Technology which uses atomic time.

Just double-click the time icon in your system tray, click the "Internet Time" tab, and check the box that says "Automatically synchronize with an internet time server". You can also click "Update Now" if you want to manually synchronize.
