Good Mods for lincoln ...

1) replace receiver Rf stage ( 2sc1674 ) with a 2sc2999 adds 6 db gain to receiver
2) CHIPSWITCH mod is realy cool! Adds many upgrades to the basic tuneing ...
3) add a 10.695 CHANNELGUARD filter and it cuts splatter from local stations alot ....

And you have one fine radio ......

TECH NOTEafter the warranty is up!

Freebird,

Forum Master Note :
Yes we still have them.

Maybe we are the only ones willing to import them.

This however is our last batch as we are being told by the manufacturer that they are no longer going to be available.

***

So you do have one from the Last Batch but just not the Last One.

Hope this helps,

Lon

Grumpy,

We have approximately 20 left. We don't put up all the units at once because we have to hold a certain number for warranty situations. If we can't repair a returned unit we have to replace it. So depending on how many units are still under warranty will determine how many we have to hold back. Those won't be sold until the warranty obligations are met.

Interesting comment Tech291 - how would you say it was better than an HR2510? The MRF455 final?

Personally I prefer the HR2600 over the HR2510 because of the stock repeater capability and tone encoding.

if used on 11m though, hollow, those features are of no importance. i probably should grab one, before they're all gone...

That's just it Pat - I actually use mine on 10 meters. Most other 10 meter radios don't have the features necessary to use them on 10 meter repeaters.

The PRESIDENT LINCOLN and UNIDEN HR2510 radio's are 2 of the BEST Ham Mobile Radio's that have ever been manufactured.

And with the Optional CHIP SWITCH they are THE VERY BEST!

Moderator136 (Hal) has my Uniden HR2510 that I bought new when they first came out and HE LOVES IT.

I now have the PRESIDENT LINCOLN and LOVE IT!

There is just not any mobile ham radio that has been or is being manufactured that gives you the features, realibility and overall performance of the President Lincoln in my own personal opinion.

I am even thinking of ordering another one from Copper and not even opening the box just to have a spare should anything happen to mine in the next 20 year's.
