Hi. I cut and pasted this from my post in the open forum. I started a thread about the Galaxy bashers and trolling (rules, what rules? lol). I figured it would soon turn to a radio review (it did), so I saved the moderators the trouble of filing it over here. The Magnum lovers didn't take long to release the hounds. So I wrote... Granted the Galaxy has cruddy ears and quality control issues, but does mine talk. I don't mean splattering, over modulating garble, bleeding over half the spectrum. I have had no problems with mine, mind you, but the case screws aren't rounded off either. I think that is the problem with most of the radios out there. Suffering a chronic case of tinkeritis, not to mention poor installation and cheap antennas contribute to the problems most rigs suffer. Straight out of the box, with Band E connected, my Nine-Five-Tango gets the flowers. I like my Ford Galaxy. Never wanted it to blow the doors off their Chevy s S-three NINE six. lol Allan |

Alan, Welcome to Copper. You found the best forum around so kick back and enjoy. Those guys in the S-9 cult don't mean any harm. Its just all in fun and 2 of the cults top leaders are really nice guys. I contacted them on many occasions when the band is open and they are great examples of what radio should be about. Even though both of them are from New York they are the 2 best dudes you would ever wanna meet. I prefer Connex and like the Galaxy owners I get it too! All the time. The nine five tango is a good radio no doubt. I hear them all the time living next to I-65 in Indiana. Each one has blown the doors off of everything, except my 4800 with DX500 that is. lol Get out ther in DX land and join the gang! |

I'd like to further extend the invite put forth by brother HOTWIRE to join the CEF net....that is unless you think you radio can't do it ...(that should get him to sign up ) Jeeze look at what Pat has done to this one time humble eastender "905" monitoring 27.225AM or 27.385LSB..find me and I'll buy you a beer (or QSL card ) Hank CEF559 Northeast Net Control Eastern Long Island NY |
