Hello all. Placed an order with Copper for a Connex 4600 Turbo...like to hear some of your comments about the radio. No interest in ssb, have other radio's that do that, so no need in this one. I have used/owned Galaxy,Uniden,RCI,Magnum to name a few but never a Connex. Thanks for your time to post your comments. |

Dale, had a S-6 radio. Worked fine, but I disliked the recv very very much! I am used to the ole' turn the radio on and hear static, not limited static becasue it was "designed that way". Thats just my personal preference. Sold the S6, and bought a Stryker 440HP,and like that radio very much. I am hoping the Connex I bought works and sounds and good as the Stryker. I know many like the Mag...radio's but for me, I again perfer soild recv with loud strong xmit audio. Hope that helps you out. Again, my view; others more then likely will be different. Kind of like cars, some people like GM and some like Ford while others cant stand either model and buy foreign! Good luck! |

white noise maybe?i thought a quiet reciever is what everyone wants |

well, the static i am referring to is the atmosphere noise. the connex arrived yesterday and installed it with and the antenna is a hustler mast mount with the rm-11 coil and have to say the transmit audio and power is awesome! i will put it on a watt meter,didnt have time last night, but the recv and xmit is very strong,clear and the echo even sounds great! this is a keeper! Not sure who makes Connex though? |

anyone else know anything about connex? the one bought from copper works very well, very happy with it...just like more background info on it. the cb tricks url doesnt list it either. anyone? |
