HI GUYS AND TY FOR ALL THE INFO ABOUT RADIOS....I BOUGHT A MAGNUM WITH THE MODS FROM COPPERS AND IT LOOKS LIKE A GREAT RADIO. ILL WIRE IT UP IN MY CAR THIS WEEKEND...I HAVE AN ASTATIC 575 M6 MIC FOR IT BUT WAS WONDERING IF THAT WILL BE TOO MUCH AUDIO FOR THE RADIO TO HANDLE?? I ALSO HAVE AN ASTATIC 636L. WHAT MIC WILL GIVE ME THE BEST AUDIO FOR THE MAGNUM S-9?? TY ALL MIKE |

Mike07083, The STOCK FACTORY microphone will give you the BEST Performance as it is designed to work specifically with your radio. If you want a different mic the only one I would recommend is the Superstar DM-452 for a hand mic. Hope this help's, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9CEF CVC#2 |

i have heard an S9 run with a D104m6B and it sounded way overmodulated. couldnt convince the owner of the radio of that though. dont talk to him much these days. i would if i could understand him. from what i have heard from those i trust; the stock mic is the best way to go. they designed this radio so it would not need a power mic. matt |

i wouldnt use a power mic in a mobile.i always use the n/c mics like rk56or 636l |
