Just picked up a ts-520s for $50.00. When I got it home, and tested the output and other functions, I was happy to see that all were within normal specs. It came with a shure 444 mic and I've gotten good reports. It's fast becoming my main rig, much to the displeasure of the ft-817 and ic-718. I have missed the tube final rigs since I sold my old FT 101zd. The 520 seems to be a little better than the 101. In side by side comparisons with the 718, the kenwood seems to have a little bit better receive. Not bad for a 25 year old radio. I just had to share my good fortune. cheers sb106

I just happened to come across this old post, just picked one up myself. I haven't been by here for some years, see Copper Talk seems deader than I remember. That's sad...
