GRT I have a 93t and increased the DKs to 5, 15 and 25. I am using it to drive 6 pill amp with 2879s. Will it hurt the radio? Can I put a seperate driver between the two and then lower the DK? Which would be the best way to go? Thanks "T-bone" CH 34 Atlantic City

If your amp is a 2x4 then the DX93T would not be a good choice as it may cause damage to the amp more so than the radio. It doesn't make sense to spend the amount of money for a DX93T with the ability of 50-60 watts and then turn it down to make it operate like a 4 watt CB just to run the wrong type of amp. If the amp was one of the new hybrids with no driver and six 2879s like the Xforce 600HD then the DX93T would be fine. The DX93T is also a good match for the Texas Star DX1200. |

The amp has no driver. It is a competition amp. My 93t is what's driving it. I thought of getting maybe a p5T2 or the new 98 if it can drive the amp better. The amp maker says it can handle 40-60 DK. Did I read this right that you work for Galaxy? "T-bone" CH 34 Atlantic City

You read that correctly and the amp maker should know best what deadkey and peak power their amps run best at. |

I found this on the East Coast Amps, 6x2879 w/fan 2pill driver required 12-20VDC 1.3-1 or less So that would suggest using the DX48T, DX95T2 or DX98VHP would be okay. |
