Question on the president export radios for the experts only or anyone else that could help. I have been looking at the president line of export radios that can be purchased in Italy Finland and the Netherlands .I have always like the grant/Lincoln/Jackson/George. Although I think the Lincoln is discontinued if not please advise.Out of these rigs which would be the best. The reason for ordering from these countries are that I don't have to send it out to be modified for the extra channels they come already done from factory at least I think so. |

Shortychange, Sorry but I only have first hand with the EARLY models but I can tell you this. ANY 10 meter radio from the factory no matter what country has to be modified for 11 meter use. The best advise I can give is to look at Presidents site and go through the specs and see which one suits your needs the best. You may find that you could get the same radio. spec-wise in another brand right here for less money. Have you checked the foreign exchange $$$$ rate lately?! WOW! Only advantage to ordering out of the country is that you probably won't find President radios here at all! Copper used to carry the Lincoln, a top notch transiever, but are sadly no longer in stock.
