Can it handle 5 watts in?????
I have heard it is very broad banded and can go to 7 megs 40 meter ham band, anyone know anything about this?

NO!

Personally I would recommend using between 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 watts as it is a LOW DRIVE Amplifier.

The reason for this is because if your WATT meter is off and you throw 5 into it you may just see a small puff of smoke and your amp will be history and possibly your radio if it feeds back into it.
