I am going to try to be subjective as I write this because I'm not real happy right now with this radio. I have posted some comments on this radio under ask the tech before. To let you guys know what's going on with the radio, I sent the radio back to the repair facility on 11 Oct for transmit audio problems. I got the radio back on tuesday the 17th. Very fast turn around time. Pulled the radio out of the box and hooked it up to my astron rs35m. Radio keyed 15 watts on high and modulated to about 40-45 watts. Audio reports were good. Flipped the radio to low power and no RF out on the meter. No RF output and could not be heard. I am going to send the radio back again on the 19th. So far this radio is proving to be a piece of junk!!! I am going to reserve final judgement depending on what treatment I get from Cobra. This will be the last time that I send this radio back!!!! I will not spend any more money on shipping. Repair was as follows: replaced ec-43 and aligned. This was on the work order. I couldn't believe it when I pulled the radio out of the box and I received it in this condition from the service center. I've been in radio since 1973 and so far this probably is the worse experience that I've had with a radio and trust me when I tell you that I've owned a lot of radios. Will keep you all informed on this matter.

Meant to say objective instead of subjective. I will add this, I will give the repair facility an A+ for turnaround time on the radio.

Got a comment on (Repair was as follows: replaced ec-43 and aligned. This was on the work order.)How could the alignement been done with no output.
Now I see why they gave 100 dollar rebate on those radio's to help you pay for shipping back to be repaired.
WHAT HAPPEN TO COBRA ?
