Well the continuing saga of my 150gtl continues. After sending the radio back for the second time in 6 weeks, it is still not fixed. I'm really not sure about this repair facility that they are supposed to have. I got the radio back today and it is doing the same exact thing that it was doing before I sent it in to them. I have owned this radio for 6 weeks and they have had it for 2 of those 6 weeks and the radio is still not fixed. I therefore can only believe that they are unable to fix this piece of junk! I am going to call cobra monday morning and see if they are willing to ship me a new radio for this one. I will not send this radio back to the repair facility and dump any more money into shipping. I am going to give them the opportunity to make this right or I'm going to take the radio to the local shooting range and pump it full of 243 rounds. I could not with an honest heart try to pass this piece of trash along to another radio operator. Will let you know what happens. Buyers beware of this radio!!!! It is a piece of junk!!! If I am forced to shoot it full of holes and put it out of its misery I will post pictures of it here for you all to see. 73's Bobby |

.....those hollowpoints taking the freq display right out through the back with 1 shot cobra made good on a friends 200 that he HATED. they gave him a choice of the latest updated version, or a refund (less tuneup costs). he took $$ & bought a used lincoln & could not be happier with it! took 3 months & a few phone calls to get his $$ though... |

When the radio was first bought it worked for about 3 weeks and then it started breaking up real bad on high power and the audio sounded like you were talking under water. Sent the radio back for repairs. When it came back it would not transmit on low power. Sent it back a second time. When I got it back it still will not transmit on low power. My friend who bought one a week after mine, his was bad out of the box. He sent his in for repair, when he got it back it sounds like he's talking under water. Really gurgly sounding. Seems like a rash of people in the middle GA area has gotten a bad batch of these radiois. I know of about 10 people that have bad ones. Even the new ones that were supposed to be "NEW AND IMPROVED". Just doesn't seem that way. |

The breaking up on high power is most likely VR12 turned up too high. I just received mine. My first audio report told me I sounded a little "low", so I adjusted VR12 slightly. As soon as I did that, my audio broke up. I turned it back down, and my audio was fine again. |
