Grumpy,

Since you did not mention if you wanted a CB or 10 Meter Base radio I included links below for both.

<font color="ff0000">CLICK HERE ®</font> RADIOS-CB+BASE

<font color="ff0000">CLICK HERE ®</font> RADIOS-10 METER

We have the MAGNUM S-3200B 10 Meter Base w/FC-347 and the Texas Ranger 696F SSB Base Radio as well as the 2995DX Base Radio and ALL are GREAT RADIOS depending on what features you are looking for.

Out of all three the MAGNUM S-3200B is my favorite choice and the 1st Sargants favorite radio is the Texas Star 696F SSB Base Radio.

Hope this help's,
Lon

If the Magnum S-3200B is anything like the Magnum S-45 Omega Force then the receive is very sensitive and quiet and the transmit is loud and clean. Magnum has a good thing going.

i must say also the 3200B is a very underated radio. took a chance on one as not to run my tube stuff all the time and i must say i am very impressed with it. not a lot of bells and whistels but has just what you need to talk. i get great reports with it out in Dx land and have heard it myself and love the audio that comes from it. the ears on the new style are very sensitive and selective with fantastic channel rejection. on ssb it does drift a little till warm but its tolerable. sounds great on ssb as well with a lot of punch using a D104. add a frequency counter like the Fc347 that plugs right in and take full advantage of all the freqs it has to offer. i gotta say the 3200B is well done at a great price new, mine was an auction orphan. but if this one went bad i would buy another great radio.

you won't go wrong with a Uniden Washington. great ears you can get good swing and they will freq out a bunch also a lot of audio. in fact one of the best radios i have ever heard on SSB was a guy up on the freebands with a Uniden Washington running a D104 with a 10A head. i have a Uniden Washington i will never part with. great old school solid state rig.
