Has anyone on the forum got any comments about their latest release. What I'm referring to is the new circuit board with the 2sc-2290's and talk back. If anyone has this new verison please give any feedback on if most of the old problems have been solved. Example problems with no transmit or receive, audio, frequency stability. and last how long have you owned the latest released new cobra 200gtldx. where I'm going with this information is I got a new replacement cobra 200gtl because my old unit gave me so many problems and I'm trying to decide wether or not to keep it or turn around and get rid of it. |

I know there's many forum members out there that own one, but I see no discussion on the new released updated model. |

i know of at least 2 of the latest versions, locally. both are used solely sideband, both base, 1 on a 70 amp PS, the other i'm not sure, both sound better then many of the originals i've heard, neither were ever opened up by their owners but modded from where they were bought, 1 owner loves his but admits the receiver ACR is not neccessarily to his liking, the other IS for sale for the same reason, nor does he like the rcv audio quality through the factory speaker & several other rcv complaints. 1 owner has a ts930, ar3500 & hr2510, the other has a cobra 148 & president washington-both prefer their other radios over the 200gtl. i have never heard the rcv on either of these 2 radios, but the xmit is more then satisfactory. |

I have a Cobra 200GTL and have found that it has more gain than some of my other radios, seems to pull in the weak and closer signal good but with a little more noise than some of my other radios, right now its back at Cobra on a small unrelated problem on an LCD that is intermitent. I like the big meter on this radio a lot....walterb |

I understand that there have been six different main-boards... On another point, has anyone heard of the stopping of production of the 200gtl?....is it a rumor? |
