Does anyone know of a mobile CB that comes with SSB and weather channels? I have not found one that's still in production. Uniden used to make one but it's discontinued.

They were a nice looking bit of kit. But i have read some negative reactions to them. Anyone ever own one? And what was your opinion on them?

i had one....fairly easy to modify, but i felt it had some of the WORST white noise of ANY radio i'd ever seen, older galaxy included! it's receive was fairly decent, unfortunately, i couldn't deal with the SHHHHHHHHHHHH, so i dumped it in a matter of days. didn't have it long enough to even play with XMIT section.

All that I know of are AM models only. I would pickup a choice sidebander and a cheap programable scanner for weather channels. If you did'nt want to use a scanner then you could pick up a weather service monitor.
Bearcat makes a decent scanner for about a c-note. Fits under the dash no problems
