What mods can be done to this radio can there be funnies put in to it using the pll chip .

you have to see which chip it uses. it needs an MB8719, NOT an MMB8719 or 8734. if it has either of the 2nd 2, you'll need to acquire either the mb8719 or rci8719. then, all the mods can be done-channels, slide, 10kc, all receive mods, etc. the 2 non-modifiable chips will allow receive & modulation mods, but no freq mods.
