Sorry, I have never seen a SuperStar 158EDX with red LED's yet.

But it is a totally different blue than in most other mobile's I have seen.

VERY NICE and easy on the eyes and easy to see from any angle.

And I would personally pick the blue over the red ANYTIME!

Well I have seen the red version, but never had one. I have a blue version, and as Lon stated it is the nicest blue I have ever seen. It is the best radio I have ever owned. I hope to post a reveiw in the next few weeks.

If you are talking about a 4 pill amp like the Texas Star 400/500 with 4~2SC2290's or 4~2SC2879's

Then yes as your dead key will be 4 or 10 watts driving it depending how you have the dead key set in the radio.

I own one of these radio's with the red readout, the blue is way too bright while trying to drive at night, looks as though someones trying to put out enough light for the ships at sea to see lol.

If a Radio or ANY product is no longer listed on the Copper Electronics website then that means that the radio or product is Out of Stock or Back Ordered from the manufacturer with No confirmed delivery date to Copper Electronics or that the Radio / Product has been Discontinued by the Manufacturer and is no longer avialiable.

Which in both cases ie: Back Ordered or Discontinued, Copper Electronics Inc. has no control over what the Manufacturer's decide to do.

And by not having the item's listed saves 100's of calls by customer's to Copper Electronics Customer Service each week asking about product's that are not in stock / listed.
