I have a buddy that has a Ranger 99, and in the past 6 month's has blown 5 finals. We're wanting to take his radio and install a mosfet or something else in it. Anyone know anything about these radios? What radio is it simular to? I cannot find any info on it at all. It shoul would be nice to install a ERF 2030 in her, and have it be strong again. Thanks.

The Ranger 99 has the same board "EPT6900-10Z" as the Cobra 148FGTL-DX+, Connex 4400, 4800, Galaxy DX45MP, DX48T, DX93T, DX95T, DX2517, RCI2960, RCI2980, and RCI6300.

So, ya think any of the mods for the above will work? I was hoping I'd find a walk through simular to the 2030 walk through's for this radio.

I'd be more concerned on WHY it has blown 5 finals in such a short time.
