I have run into a weird problem.
I have a Uniden PC78 Elite that when signals of about S7 or more are received the radio meter swings backward.I have put other radios inline and they swing forward on the same signals.
When weaker signals of S3 or so are received the meter seems to swing forward OK.
I have owned many radios but I have never seen this problem before.
Any ideas what might cause this condition?
It is under warrany and may be going back to Uniden and I just bragged about how good Uniden radios are.

It could have something to do with a malfunctioning AGC , which could possibly affect only very strong signals causing them to be attenuated to save the front end (RX )of your radio, not sure but could be a possibility, have it checked out by a good tech.
