I have a VINTAGE Galaxy 1000 5 star amp. It has one 6LX6 driving 4 8908 tubes. The problem is, the driver tube (6LX6) gets real bright. Sometimes this happens when amp is on and idle, but most times it happenes when amp is keyed. It takes about a minute for the tube to get really bright and real hot when keyed and then it blows the fuse.
I have two 6LX6 tubes, one 6LF6 and one 6KD6 and 5 extra NEW 8908 tubes. I does not make a difference which ones I try.
