I was wondering if anyone knew if you can change your 6LQ6 tubes out for these: 6JE6C, 6ME6, 6LZ6, 6JE6A, 6JE6B, 6JE6
6JF6, 6JU6, 6KM6? The 6MJ6/6LQ6 beam power pentode/sweep tube
uses a 9QL configured base. So are they any reasons why you couldn't use these tubes in place of 6LQ6 and has anyone tried? Thanks for any comments.

Salty ,it would depend on the power requirements of the particular tube you wanted to use IE voltage and amperage ,also you would have to check to see if the tube is good for the freq. that you want to use,the power supply may need to be beefed up a bit as well and don't forget about possible parasitics and harmonics that could cause bleed over on other bands

Depends on what radio and transformer draw. 6lq6 and 6je6 was a good sub. Many questions about what radio and power on down side - transformer? or do you have higher voltage on the plate side?Humm dont know? Need more information?
