have a maco 300 I got it and the Capacitors were bad replaced them now when I turn on power it draws lights down and blows fuse diodes checked out fine. Could it be transformer? If so where can I find one?

Mojoe Yes sorry to say it could be the transformer! Maco 300 are getting old ! Honest they where good amps. They have the old 8950 sweep tubes, You can find them , Lowest price i seen them around $50.00 a piece and there are 7 of them in the Maco 300. Sorry to say its not worth fixing. I have 2 of them and are great amps but the price of tubes it not worth it! they doint make 8950 tubes or subs anymore.

If you want a good tube amp invest your money in a amp that has tubes you can afford! I like tube amps because i can work on them and honest they sound better on the air! Warning high voltage can kill you!Doin't go poking your hand's in a amp if you don't know what you doing!!!!!!!!!

Im saving my money for a BLA 300 amp that COPPER has! Check it out!
