I have an old tube type Loudmouth 300 watt Linear and I cannot find any info on it or anything in the form of a manual for it can anyone help out please.
Prefer a web sight for the manual or info.

I dont see it listed anywhere.

The main problem with liners is getting TUBES. The CHEEP sweep tubes of 30 years ago are now rare and expensive EVEN the low end HAM transmitting tubes like 811s and 6146 have not gone up in price like a 6jb6 or simular sweep tube.

Before you put much time in it check out the price of replacing the tubes .... and remember MOST CB linears are running thoes tubs at ICAS not CCS so on modes like AM they will get HOT.

This comming year I will be buying another 811 ( 4 tube this time amp ) and probley put 572b's in it..... even though these are real transmitting tubes they cost about the same as sweep tubes.

hello bruce, do you think by replaceing the 811s with 572 it helps in witch way?? being as my 811a has a bigger transformer in it, replaced by wizard, i thought id like to try that way!! if you've seen this done, or have done it yourself, what was the results?? i no the tubes should last somewhat longer being as there better in alot of ways, but was courious..

JUST BASED on what I have read the 572s run cooler

I had a 3 tube 811 amp and stupidly sold it.
