Were there ever any TUBE - TYPE radio shack ( realistic ) models of cb bases ever made ?

This would be from the 1960 s era. I tried looking on a GOOGLE search and nothing solid came up ( or I did it all wrong ) .

Can any one direct me to a web site that can tell me all about what models / features / etc of tube - type radio shack cb transceivers ?

Boy you got me thinking on this one.......

I believe there was but like most they would have been early ( part 19 ) radios.
MOST were made by companies like DEWALD of New York City back between 1960 - 1964 and sold under many labels. The early Lafayette HE-15 were made as were the HE-20's by them but soon these were being made in Japan .....

Radio shack expanded out of Boston in the early 60s that would have when they would have had them IF THEY BOTHERED TO MARKET AT THAT EARLY TIME. Many tube rigs were built in that 1959 - 1964 5 year spread by all the major dealers but As of about 1965 they like most had gone solid state.

Now when I was in Kentucky in 1968 RS already had a store.

Many were scrapped in the early 70s the companies did not support them parts were getting hard to get and solid state radios had completely taken over so all Part 19 radios were history ..... part 95 was now in effect as it is to today with the certification changeover in 1976 to the 40 ch sets.

Boy If you find one I sure would like to see photos of it ...... really would be part of CB history .......

YES Allied ( knight ) was owned by radio shack but not untill the late 60s In 1960 - 1965 they were their own company and thoes Knight kits were good stuff.
