With owning and using both radio's my #1 personal choice would be the Ranger 2995DX over the Saturn Turbo.

FAR More Features in the 2995DX!

Good support from Ranger USA for service, parts and any problem's that may arise on the 2995DX.

Versus NO SUPPORT from Galaxy on the Saturn Turbo for part's, repair, service.

if you use AM much, you probably won't like the icom. if you talk on regular CB channels to sidebanders with 'cb's' as opposed to hf rigs, you might not like the icom either. if you use it on ham bands, or to talk to cb sidebanders with hf rigs, you'll be happy. a local sideband-only cber has a 718, and a 706mk2(not g), he does not like to use it to talk to a group that uses galaxy, cobra 200 & old 2950's. both sides complain how the other sounds. when he talks to the kenwood/yaesu/icom group, he says they sound better to him, as well as vice versa.
another local has a stonewall jackson, same radio as the 2995 & turbo, but it just seems to 'sound' better. he sold his 2995 to buy it & likes it better, rcv & xmit.
