--Hi, all. Does anyone know what PLL the new Cobra 29LTD Black Chrome has? I am thinking of buying one, and I might add an extra channel kit to it. Assuming all Cobra has done to this new model is purely cosmetic, do the latest versions of the Cobra 29 still have the UPD2816? Thanks.

always used the 'A+' expo kits in the 29. got some 'A++' kits & was told they 'work in all 29's, including the new ones'. whatever that may mean. the truckers i get radios from to mod have been all exports for quite a while now. haven't had anybody bring me a 29 in some time.

--Hi, Dale. Well, when the skip is rolling in on the regular 40, we will sometime go up or down one band, and it is much quieter. AM is the mode we all talk on...don't really need SSB.
