i have a 2950 DX that at times when i turn it on all i get is a green screen & no display i turn it on & off a few times i get the display back & everything is normal someone told me it needs to have a reset done to the radio but i want to make sure that is what is wrong anyone have the same trouble with theres??? anyone know what is wrong with it if it needs a reset done to it how is the reset done thanks for any help bbmfic

I have had a couple of radios in the past with a similiar issue. Turning the radio off and on a few times made it work right.
I would have to say you have a cold solder joint in there somewhere.
Might check inside for anything loose like those little plugs and screws.
If you got a screw loose like I have had it can cause lots of problems.
If it comes down to it I would send it in to Ranger for repairs. good luck

If you turn off the power supply to the radio before you turn off the radio it slowly bleeds the power out of the radio and RCI2950DX radios will not have a display the next time you turn it on.
Make sure you turn the radio off first and then the current to the radio each time you turn it off.
If you have to turn it on several times to get the display back sounds like a bad power connection such as a dirty or loose connection or bad cord.
This display thing is a characteristic of these radios.
