Hi all, I have a chance to buy a newer 2970DX with smaller heat sink and cooling fans. I have a Grant XL right now and want to know your oppinions on getting a TS250HD or a TS350HD and running the grant with one of those amps or getting the 2970DX and not buy an amp.

The 2970DX is not even two years old it is converted and used very little. I can get it for 300.00 shipped.

What do you all think, Which setup would be best??

Thanks,
AP

WHY?

Logic is your a HAM ......

If you must run a high power CB station hook a amp to that grant.

I have never found rangers to be all that good put that $300 toward better HAM STUFF .... or back up the grant .......
On 6 since 66

Yea, I was doing some thinking and came up with the same conclusion that I should get more ham gear and just stick with the stock grant for my 11 meter ops. I do need a remote antenna switch and am thinking of purchasing a RAT PAK switch.

Thanks
