Massappeal,

The 2950 is a 10 meter mobile radio.

The Sommerkamp TS200DX is a HT/ handheld radio.

Sorry not much information on the Sommerkamp TS200DX on the internet.

Back around 1990 I ordered a Sommerkamp 2000, 2 weeks later a 2950 arrived. It had something like 5 zeros leading the serial number. It's been on fire, hit by lightning (evaporated traces), it's been through hell. I thought it was dead after the lightning strike (the Solarcon A99 and Onkyo receiver weren't so lucky)but after a few days on the bench making new traces and replacing 13 parts...it lives. To this day it is still going strong, great audio and dead on frequency. The face, covers and partial board behind the face have been replaced, and the back up battery has been reworked for easier access. I will never part with it.
