Ok i have a cobra 2000 gtl great radio, but here lately the freqency counter has jumped really bad channel 1 reads 21.1727, 2 21.1811 3 21.1893 and so on to 40 which reads 21.5394. what gets me is the radio is still working fine making contacts. just tonight i talked local to guys 15 miles away that were on channel 3 i put my radio on channel three tune my clarifyer just a tad till i saw there signal was the strongest and talked for 5 mins. so this leads me to believe the radio is still alligned fairly well. so my question is is there a pot to adjust only the counter back on track and not the actuall radio freqency which is (L23 for am). i took the covers off and everything looked good no wires touching . by the way this radio does have a channel kit in it and whether i tune it for lowers ,standard 40, or uppers , the counter is still way off. any help on this would be greatly appreciated . i have a hard time finding a local tech around here without a 2 hour drive and im pretty good on working on them when i have the knowlege of just what to do . thanks again derek460 (CopenHagen)
