Have you tryed a different radio on the same coax, jumpers meter, antenna or anything else inline to see if maybe it's not the radio? and if the radio been stored 2 years might wanna open it up and get the dust out of it. George KI4NBE CEF#Ø476 HAM#Ø181 CVC#ØØ14

If mic is good, LSB and USB works fine, PA works this a stumper. Maybe suspect the mode switch for dust and debris so that you know it is working properly. Other than that it may need an alignment. Kenny CEF491 Reading the mail around Indianapolis Indiana!

yes the mode switch can cause problems when it gets dirty had to clean mine after storage for a couple of years. it was real scratchy when changing modes and this showed up on am transmit too. took a while to figure it out after reports of scratch in my audio. but a good cleaning with electronic cleaner and computer air cleaner did the trick. wasnt easy this switch doesnt have access holes had to stand it on its face.give it a try..good luck |
