I HAVE A ROAD FORCE SS-497 AM/FM/SSB/ 10M BASE STATION. IT HAS RV ON BORD NOT VR.I WOOD LIKE TO TUNE IT UP AND MAKE IT SWING. IT'S LIKE THE RADIOS THAT ARE LESTED HERE. BUT MOD'S R NOT THE SAM .WOOD LIKE TO KNOW'THANK YOU ALL. USER 17'4" |

hello 808 teck the road force ss497 has rpt mod. it has 7 lights in the face. thay r all out and i tested it.so i need new lights.blue and red .will the lamps be 3mm or 5mm geain of wheat lamps.if the power supplie is bad will copper have thim.the one in radio is number YW-301-12 ATHER NUMBER IS 9806LY.rv 5 dosnot do the am modulation.looking at q30 and it is out.can it be put back on under side of board?? bottom side of board number is jpmxxo 247B .and and and i wood like to put in a low ded key and havy swing kit.will copper have thim mmm? o by the way is rv4 the right one 4 am power?????here i am top off bottom off knobs off lights out. it all so ac/dc 6 pin mic jack.have looked all over the net and can not find on radios with this name .i payed $179 4 the radio 15 years a go.do u know were to get a 25 watt model.gold face and gold knobs make radio look good next to THE GALAXY 1000.WITCH NEEDS TUBS .4/8975/ ONE DRIVEING 3. The radio you have has been manufactured over the year's with 12 & 25 watt version's under the following Names/Brands:
Albrecht AE497.
Identical or very similar to: INTEK Multicom-497, Dragon SS-497, Roadforce 497, Pro Star 497, Comanche Warrior, Eagle Tomahawk, Northpoint and Cherokee CBS 1000.
Some had the RV while other's had the VR designation for tune up.
You may find it very hard to locate new part's for it.
For spare part's for them you may want to check the internet auction sites.
Generally most people find it would cost more to repair them than they originally cost.
