I bought a Maco 300(5-2057's),Washington am/ssb and a D-104 yesterday and it all works with a few issues. It been a long time sence I've ran any tube amps and I need a refresher on tuning this amp. It keys up and has quite a bit of output but thats as far as I would go. It has 3 knobs. A tune and a load on the face and a tune on the right side near the rear. I would like to know what sequence to tune it. Also how much swing it can safely handle? (AM/SSB)
The Washington has a DK of 3w and swings to 5-6w, And SSB it only peaks at 6-7w. I used the mod list to the left to get the DK I wanted but cant get the SSB pwr to do more, Although this maybe enough. I'd like to use my RCI 2950 with this amp but again I need to know what the swing limits are on both AM/SSB. Thanks
