Hello again! I have a cobra 2000 GTL plugged into 110 AC, and a texas star 400 on a power supply. The 2000 keys approx 2.5 watts on AM and about 6 watts max on SSB.The 6 watts on side band makes the relays in the amp chatter some thing terrible. I dont want to destory the amp but like to do DXing. My question is could I install the RFX75 driver or a AD203 stinger board in or,on the 2000? Then be able to turn the out put wattage down to about 15-20 watts on side band with a variable power knob to help stop the chattering on the TX400? What I have read these are a mosfett final. Would this hurt the amp? Thank all of you in advance for your help and expertice. I value all the opinons, I can get good, bad,or in different. Once agian thank you for your time and have a Great day!

if your amp is chattering make sure your ssb delay is set tothe on position.the ts400 should
handle the cobra2k all day long.as for others
id leave the radio alone

Dale thank you for your time. Guess this was a bad idea. Was hoping for a little more in put from every one. Guess I will get rid of the 2000 gtl and buy a different radio, one with less problems.
