a freind gave me a oscilloscope but i dont know what this one is for or how to use it on the front it says( solid state model 255 CREI oscilloscope )on the back it says model 255 oscilloscope conar instruments washington DC,20016 ans at the top some wrote in marker 803546

First off WELCOME to the Copper Electronics Forum. ,

The oscilloscope you have is a:

Conar Model 255 Oscilloscope

Try doing a google search for it and you may be lucky and find an owners manual for it.
