it was arouund 1998 , and i had this amp.. it was all black and said golden eagle on it's faceplate.. if i remember it was similar in size and shape to the sweet16... remember upwards of 900w out... never opened it up so couldnt tell you what was inside...

Allan,

If I remember correctly the Golden Eagle Amp was sold in a kit form and was a solid state mobile amplifier.

It covered 10 tru 160 meter's.

Output was 300 ~ 400 watts and you really needed to use a tuner between the radio and the amp.

You can do a GOOGLE search for: "Golden Eagle Amplifier" and find more information on it.

Sorry, never used one myself.

Thanks TECH808, Im not too sure that this is the same amp.. wonder if anyone has pictures of this guy? i really remember much more power than 300-400w. Anyone else have any input?
