ok here we go!
I have a trc 422a with a wilson antenna it is a fgt 5' in a 2000 F-150. the raido is mounted in a homeade box(wood) the power supply wires are connected directly to the battery. the raido frame is grounded to the cab, the cab is grounded to the frame ,the bed is grounded to the frame ,the antenna mount is grounded to the bed, the altenator frame is grounded to the ground strap on the cab, the shield of the coax is grounded to the bed.

now that being said I have loud bleed over when I tx, on my stereo speakers and on the cb speaker i get a popping sound like spark plugs at idle and when the motor speeds up it increases what else can I do to get rid of this problem????????????

The cigar liter is the last place you want to get your power from.

Remove your antenna mount and scrape the paint to bare metal. Then connect your coax ground to one of the mounting bolts, run a ground strap from the mounting bolt to the frame.

Copper has an inline filter you add to the power wires that might help.

Flyingcloud;
Check the Copper Main Page for a new Filtered power cord. Get the correct connector end for your radio. My son uses one in his electronic noise creating Buick and has no strange noises.
