Well went on vacation and forgot to unhook the power and antenna. When i came back after all the storms we had.I now have high swr with the radio. anyway Want to know where to start and is it real bad or a simple fix. where do i go from here? |

Disconnect the coax from your radio and remove the pl connector from the coax. Peel back the outer jacket, inspect the braid, if it is discolored (black) your antenna took a hit. It might not have taken a direct hit, so new coax might fix your problem. If it did take a direct hit, plan on buying a new radio, coax and antenna.
