Well went on vacation and forgot to unhook the power and antenna. When i came back after all the storms we had.I now have high swr with the radio. anyway Want to know where to start and is it real bad or a simple fix. where do i go from here?

Disconnect the coax from your radio and remove the pl connector from the coax. Peel back the outer jacket, inspect the braid, if it is discolored (black) your antenna took a hit. It might not have taken a direct hit, so new coax might fix your problem. If it did take a direct hit, plan on buying a new radio, coax and antenna.
