I picked up a pristine 465 ( uniden 122xl clone) that had been setting for years.
Talks very well and is very stable ,BUT,,
It dies when I change channels. Not always, but very often.
I figured the selector was dirty and used real contact cleaner with no improvements. It is a sealed unit and I cannot get into it without removing it from the board. ( As far as I can tell. )
Any pointers how to clean this or should I look at something else?

Have it re-aligned.
