question,,,,, i have 2 ranger ss158edx mobile radio's...... what i did notice is 1 of them has 2 variable internal adjustments for rf output power,,,,,while the other 1 has just 1...... i was told the earlier ss158 models had just 1 rf adjustment control on inside of radio with a resistor next to where the 2nd rf adjustment pot would be in my other ss158 radio..... i also notice the radio with the 2 adjustment pots shows greater rf output then the other model,,with both radios set at 2 watts dead key,,,the radio with the 2 rf adjustment controls shows greater rf output power,,,,is 1 an earlier model then the other with different rf finals in the 2 radio's ? A FRIEND TOLD ME HE BELIEVES THE NEWER/LATEST PRODUCTION SS158EDX'S HAVE MOSFET FINALS...ANYONE SHED ANY LIGHT HERE ???????? thank's in advance..... |
