Hello,

I have been searching numerous places in an attempt to find information on this radio. I recently picked up two radios; One Mongoose 450 and one Rebel TX500... These radios are identical part for part.

The Mongoose works 100%, but the Rebel TX500 has a transmit issue. You can hear your transmitted audio on a nearby radio tuned to the same channel, but there is no output power. Without a voltage chart, it has been hard to attempt to troubleshoot this issue, but I started at the final and have been working backwards to find the problem.

When you key the microphone on the rebel, you can watch the internal meter on the radio jump as if it is going to work properly.. then it quickly drops back to zero. No output power is observed at anytime during the transmit process.

The received signal on the other radio is low, but clear and modulated, so this problem has to be confined to the transmit section.

If anyone has service information on that radio or could give me some advice on where to proceed next, I would appreciate it. Thank You.
