Question on the dual final mod for the newer stock Galaxy DX2547 with IRF520 mosfets...
All the info I am finding on this is for replacing 2SC1969 transistors with ERF2030 mosfets, My radio came stock with the single IRF520 mosfet, would like info (details) on converting this specific setup to dual mosfet finals if it has been done and what I might expect to see out of the radio for the trouble. would the RFX75 Powerband driver be a better choice and will it work with the Galaxy DX2547 mosfet version. would the variable power still work? My plan is to use the Galaxy to drive a transistor type base amp that will take from 4 to 25w for a driver.
