got a 225 galaxy amp and was wondering the power output was reading another post i found and got somehow confused :s lol can someone help clear it up and is it possable to run it with a 959 galaxy i got "copper tuned" from copper?

can you run it with a 959? probably....as long as the 959 is more or less stock, dead key under 4 watts with no crazy swing. you'll have to take the cover off the amp to see what's in it to know what kind of watts. any number of transistor choices, probably ranging in output peaks between 100-150, with a 25-40 watt carrier.

ok dk on low is 3 with a swing of around 18 with a amped d104 lolliepop as it sits on my desk but the 104 isnt going mobile so it will be the stock mike as far as the amp it has 2 motorola mrf455/rr9933g

mrf455's do about 60 watts each, so you should see 125 swing and a 30 watt carrier on AM from it.

cool beans then i should be alright as long as i keep the radio rf power on low at 3 watts then and try not to over swing it much then cuz i had the amp hooked into a maxon mcb-30 yrs ago with 4w in and did fine then turned it down to roughly 2.5 watts
