Amateur radio is a hobby radio service. It is defined by the FCC as being such. Do you, personally, consider CB radio as a hobby?

Well CB and Shortwave are both a hobby to me as I like to build and experiment with antennas as well as do mods etc..Seems the hams like to do the same thing so yes I consider it a hobby.

Yes, I personally consider it a Hobby.

ie: Hobby = An activity or interest pursued outside one's regular occupation and engaged in primarily for pleasure.

Listening to shortwave radio is one of my hobbies, as an avid SWL. However, CB is not a hobby, exactly. I write technical content for CB fans, so CB is more work than hobby for me.

Ham radio is more of an annoyance!

It is a hobby to me, along with guitar, weight lifting, web surfing...Be glad when we have some dx conditions on cb.
